I was thrilled to work with the uber talented animator Ky Moodie to ideate and create an inciting music-focussed animation for Europe’s leading parcel delivery service, DHL.

The piece was curated for a huge corporate event, hosted at a stadium in Miami. As such, we wanted to create music which would sing in a stadium setting… we went straight for glam rock.

The intention of the film was to unite two parts of the business, who had historically been opposing, in an inspiring way. Music has long been a connecting force - so we advocated for a music-first idea. A good ol’ battle of the bands.

Composition wise, I was taken back to the several years experience I have writing distortion-drenched heavy rock music with my old band, The Nyx. In many ways, the project felt like slipping on an old pair of comfy shoes.

The visual idea was simple, but with far-reaching symbolism for the purpose of the brief - to unite teams. We crafted two individuals, each representing a team, who performed in their garages, battling out until the force of their music broke the walls between them. Then, the battle becomes a jam, with tasty guitar solos and OTT drum fills - and the duo realise they work better together.
